Hello AE Friends!

We hope you're doing well. We hope you're doing so well that this email finds you reading this week's email in the best place you could possibly be today.

We hope this email finds you happy, grateful, and as healthy as you can be.

I'm writing this email from the reception/reading room in the Lake Highlands home I share with my partner. It may sound fancy, but as I look around, my eyes land on the evidence of life in motion.

My empty soup cup from lunch threatens to topple off of the overstuffed chair next to me. My coffee cup from this morning is half full on the side table, long cold. Glancing over to it, I realize I forgot to take my vitamins with lunch because they're still there, cackling at me next to the water I forgot to drink today.

There is a half eaten dog toy at my feet and two stacks of unread books by my reading lounger, which my partner and I affectionately call 'the trash chaise' because I found it by the side of our neighborhood curb a few bulk cycles ago.

We at the AE hope you are well. As for me, I hope that you are this kind of good. The kind of good that breathes and is just a bit messy.

Here's the thing...

You love our staff. We love our staff. But y'all don't get to meet everyone, and that's okay. But we want you to know them anyway.

Some of the most exciting people behind our chairs right now are our New Talent and Studio Level stylists-artists who are developing their eye, refining their craft, elevating their guest experience, and putting on their dancing shoes for you and every guest every day.

They're talented. They're hungry. They're a little obsessed with getting it right.

And honestly? We think you should know their names.

Let's get right to it, shall we?

Criscilla "Cris" Reyes

- Level 3 Studio Stylist -

With more than 22 years behind the chair and a few years spent being a full-time mom, Cris is an easy-going, fashion-forward professional. She embraces all the latest techniques and brings her experience, energy, and love for making people feel fabulous to the salon every day. She also happens to love the AE team-especially the way everyone is always willing to jump in and help each other.

Alexis "Ruby" Salazar

- Level 3 Studio Stylist -

Alexis better known as Ruby to her friends and family-has been part of the AE family since shortly after graduating from Aveda Arts & Science Institute in 2022. She loves the way hair can be more than just hair-it can be a little confidence boost, a fresh start, or simply a reminder of how good it feels to feel like yourself. And when it comes to her chair, blondes and beautiful highlights will always have a special place in her heart. She's also bilingual!

Jen Townsend

- Level 2 Studio Stylist -

Our very own Washington state stylist turned Texan, she's building fast and is so excited to keep growing her craft at Artistik Edge. With an artistic family background, she brings that creative spirit to the chair and loves helping guests step outside their comfort zone to try something new. She's all about the fun of creating-textured cuts, men's cuts, and all kinds of color apply-and seeing a guest light up when they find a look they love is what makes her continue to do what she loves every day.

Meagan McGregor

- Level 2 Studio Stylist -

Meagan is all about the conversation before the color-really listening to what each guest wants and creating a look that feels completely their own. From naturally iconic to vibrant and bossy, she brings her signature positive energy and authenticity to every chair. Her ultimate goal? Hair that makes you feel so good, you don't even need a mirror to know you're slaying.

Kat Howe

- Level 2 Studio Stylist -

Kat believes great hair starts with healthy hair-and that getting there shouldn't feel complicated. A self-proclaimed Book Tok fantasy, D&D, and pink enthusiast, she brings a playful, fashion-forward energy to the chair while taking a thoughtful, strategic approach to every hair journey. Her goal is simple: help you understand your hair, make a plan, and leave feeling genuinely gorgeous.

Mariah "Rye" Winslow

- Level 1 Studio Stylist -

Rye brings a little sunshine-and a lot of intention to the chair. She loves the calming, almost therapeutic feeling of working with hair and believes every guest deserves to slow down, feel heard, and reconnect with themselves. Her mission is to bring out the best in the hair you have, while making the whole experience feel like a much-needed "treat yo'self" moment.

Abbey Morales

- Level 1 Studio Stylist, offering New Talent -

Mary Kate is building her book right now, and she'd love to meet just about everyone who walks through the AE doors. She has a serious talent for big, bouncy blowouts and loves creating that polished, glamorous feeling you get when your hair is really working for you. With open availability and flexibility to give each guest the time they need, she's ready to meet you wherever you are in your hair journey-And when it's time to style? She's your girl for big, bouncy, VS-worthy volume and a little extra glam.

Mary Kate "MK" Bergin

- Level 1 Studio Stylist -

A Dallas native, Abbey brings a thoughtful, detail-focused approach to the chair-and a serious love for a good highlight. She has a soft spot for brunettes and knows firsthand how to make fine hair feel anything but limiting. Her favorite part? The consultation, where she can really listen, make a plan, and get you on your way to that always important thing: a really good hair day.
