Hello friend!

As we start another year, another trip around the sun, another year of beautiful hair and for us another year in business, Rebecca and I want thank you. We know most of you pass by many salons just to get here, there are more convenient locations and places that your friends think you should go to because they do. So again we say thank you for choosing us. We are starting our 35th year in business and we know that is because of you.

Meet Jen! She moved here from Washington and has worked in another Summit Salon there. She is a level 1 only because no one followed her here from Washington! Come check out her beautiful blow outs and color!

We are having a baby! Mandy & Nathan are expecting a bouncing baby girl this January! We are super excited!

 O.G.'s

I want to take a minute to recognize the OG's (ol gangsters). The ones that have stood the test of time with us. Anita 28 years, Mandy almost 15 and Griff is nearing 8 years!

These 3 have been leaders, trainers and truth tellers. Sages by all accounts. They are all 3 powerhouses in their own rights. We are blessed to have them all!

Salon Concierges

We have a beautiful dedicated desk staff right now! And if you have been coming long you know that is huge! Renee, Brett, Colby, Pricilla and Sarah work very hard to make sure you get the appointment that works best for you and to make sure your visit is beautiful!

New trends for 2024

2024 brings in beautiful reds in amber somewhere between strawberry and copper, red velvet/crimson-the brighter the better, dark brown with baby lights and soft warm realistic mushroom locks and buttery blondes.

As far as cuts go you can always count on a chin length bob, this season think '90's supermodel hair and baby bangs not necessarily together. But hey, maybe!

Did you know that Small businesses give 250% more to community causes than large businesses.

Hair is a big deal! Thank goodness for us!

Mention this for $20 off any product of $100 or more, such as Sam Villa blow dryers, flat irons and hot brushes or even liters of shampoos and conditioners

INVINCIBLE ANTI-AGING HD FOUNDATION

A full-coverage anti-aging HD liquid matte foundation that improves the appearance of fine lines, skin tone and pores with a moisture-rich formula that hydrates skin for a flawless finish. Great for those of us over 40! Come in and try one of our many shades to find the right one for you!

The remodel took a backseat to the holidaze but we are back at it and thrilled at how it is shaking out. Next it is on to the boutique. We are moving the desk and replacing the tin wall with what Tom aka our resident contractor refers to as the tile of the gods- because we always pick the most expensive stuff!

* I do want to give credit to Regan at Adair's Interiors. He and his team have been instrumental in most of our decisions.

 Housekeeping

Client: Sorry I'm late

Client also:

We love good memes and jokes but there are a few we do not love and I feel like we need to make you aware of a few of them.

*When booking an appointment please book it under the name of the actual person coming in, aka your teenage sons name or your husband or the big one your daughter with hair to her bum. It helps us with so much behind the scene stuff such as timing and it helps the stylists when working on their goals.

*When you are going to be late, we know it happens please call so we can prepare and we will try and call you when we are running more than 10 minutes late. We do realize that sometimes it just cannot be helped and the same goes for us. But when you walk in 15 minutes late with Starbucks...

*If you are unhappy with your hair for some reason please let us know within 2 weeks. Your hair grows on average 1/2 an inch a month so when you wait longer than that it is running into the window of time for your next service. We know your hair is not average but this is our policy and we ask that you respect it by letting us know asap.

*PLEASE refrain from using your speaker phone in the salon. I hate to even have to say it. Same goes for watching the latest episode of Yellowstone with no earbuds. AND you know that some girls are just not made for speakerphone IE. Terri Hoover

*Just like you and your family, we get sick, have personal trauma and get to go on vacations. Thank you for understanding that, we know sometimes it is inconvenient but we try to accommodate you by working extra hours when possible or offering you the opportunity to see other stylist at last resort. But in that same conversation when you cancel at the last minute or call at midnight the night before to cancel the next day because something better came up, you can't 'make up that time' for your stylist/salon. So tipping extra the next time is a nice gesture but doesn't fix the problem. Which leads us to the next point...

*Our staff works on commission therefore if you miss an appointment the stylist & the salon go unpaid for that block of time .

*We are just trying to make the salon experience lovely for everyone. The Butterfly Effect is true even in the salon.

This year instead of a New Years resolution we are going to operate off of a phrase... Remember the butterfly effect...

POST DAMN-DEMIC....

I do want to talk a little about post-damn-demic business. It has been hard. Many businesses didn't make it but with a lot of hard work, Rebeccas hard head and determination and your loyalty we kept our doors open. That was no small feat. What we have experienced has been the fact that it has been harder to hire, more expensive to operate and retail sales have been SO much more competitive. We are here to compete. Hair products, make up, skin care and boutique sales are what have enabled us to be in this beautiful location, have people to answer the phones, check you out and a thousand other little things that make your visit a great experience. But we don't want to pedal products. We spend a lot of money and time to learn about and choose the right products to keep the integrity of your hair and the stylist spend a lot of time learning about them all while considering you and your hair.

I say all of this because in the last couple of years we have seen an increase of people who say they will pick up 'our suggestions' somewhere else or worse yet take a picture of the product so they can buy it on Amazon. We have sales, a loyalty program, exchange products when one doesn't work for you and will match legitimate prices from other brick and mortar stores. We are working hard to earn your loyalty and so appreciate when we receive it.

Dec. 2005 my son Jake was killed in a car accident. A year later I started Clickit4life. The foundation was started to get the attention of young people where they are, in the car. It has been around for almost 18 years now.

The CDC says that 56% (in 2020) of young people between the ages of 13-19 were not buckled in when they met their demise. That number has vacillated between 50-56% over the years. When I checked today it said between 51- 61%. We can do better. Help me get the word out please. Check out the website below to learn more.
